Jerónimo Gómez del Campo's practice emphasizes the representation of U.S. and foreign
companies and financial institutions investing and doing business in Mexico, and
otherwise engaged in commercial transactions or legal disputes with Mexican parties.
Mr. Gómez del Campo advises clients on a broad range of Mexican and international
law issues, including all kinds of corporate/business, commercial, real estate,
energy, labor and employment and customs law matters, as well as foreign investment
law and regulatory compliance in Mexico. He has represented manufacturers, developers,
energy companies and financial institutions in connection with the acquisition,
set up, development and finance of manufacturing operations in Mexico, residential
and commercial real estate and resort development projects located in Mexico, as
well as wind farms and other energy-re lated projects in Mexico and Latin America.
In addition, Mr. Gómez del Campo routinely represents U.S. and foreign companies
and lenders in the structuring, negotiating, documenting and financing of cross-border
joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, with a special emphasis in the Mexican
and Latin American markets.
Mr. Gómez del Campo also specializes in the representation of lenders in loan workouts,
foreclosures and litigation involving assets and parties located in Mexico. He also
advises clients on a broad range of investment, international trade and dispute
settlement issues under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), as well
as import relief cases, including antidumping, countervailing duty and safeguard
investigations.
